Immortality

Immortality is something that i believe we strive for and imagine we had because it's so far beyond our life, and the curiosity of what could be drives us mad.. even people who turn and attempt to be vampires i think do this in hopes of becoming immortal and knowing what life holds in store for them and others around them. For example.. Dracula.. u think vampire right? well actually.. that was a myth.. he wasn't actually a vampire.. he was a price that killed a lot of people and people made him out to be a mythical creature of temptation and a human being of destruction whom they should fear. His castle lived forever in Transylvania and i think that freaked people out a little, so they believed him to be immortal with his memory haunting them all the time. Even today some of the most popular movies, books, and TV series are based on vampires and immortality. For example: Twilight, Vampire Diaries, and true blood and many more; including Dracula. This makes people's curiosity race and desire something of such power.. life is a power battle and who ever knows most and is on top defeats the rest. There was a boy on Jerry springer claiming to be a vampire and actually fed off his girlfriend and claimed that he burned in the light and he sleeps only during the day, etc. of things that vampires do, and in Europe.. there are people claiming they've seen vampires roaming the land and taking human form.. well the question is.. do they really exist and will immortality come to be reality?

------------------------------------------
Hercules was a God and in Disney's version they give him a challenge of love and immortality... he chooses to stay mortal and be with Meg and if a human were given the option i think out of curiosity, the choice wouldn't have come so was because he already knew what it was to be have the choice to live forever.

Hermes tells Calypso that she must let him go and she gets angry with him because she only wants to be happy with Odysseus. But since Zues said it must be done, then it simply must be done. So Calypso tells Odysseus to build a raft and go and that she promises that he will have a safe journey home. Poseidon was angry that Odysseus was getting away so he creates a huge storm to stop him. But the marine goddess Ino came to his side and told him to put on an enchanted veil and swim to the Phaecian coast. When he got in the water, Athena helped him by binding the wind. After three days, he reaches the coast, but it is a cliff and has no way of getting on land. Waves begin to crash against him and he is saved by praying to the gods and is swept into the mouth of a river. He then gives back the scarf Ino had given him as protection. Oddysseus then gets on land and finds a good spot to lay down and sleep.
